| Schloss Sacrow |
Vor ein paar Wochen war ich in Sacrow ( Potsdam ) um mir das Schloss und die
Heilandskirche anzusehen. Es war gutes Wetter und der Ausflug hatte sich gelohnt.
Zuerst kam ich am Schloss Sacrow vorbei und dann ging es weiter im Schlossgarten zur Heilandskirche.
The church is situated on the bank of lake Jungfernsee, a
part of the river Havel, 300 metres south of Sacrow Manor at the edge
of its park, designed and expanded in the 1840s by landscape architect
Peter Joseph Lenné. Both church and manor were restored in the 1990s.
They are part of Potsdam Havel Landscape. This area of lakes, forests,
parks, and castles has been classified as a World Heritage Site by
UNESCO. Though the direct distance from Potsdam City across the
Jungfernsee is no more than 1.2 km (2/3 mile), the distance by road is
more than 10 km (6.2 mi).

Nach ein paar Minuten Fussweg kam ich dann auch dort an.
Seit 1990 gehört sie zum Weltkulturerbe der UNESCO.
